The new "Youth programme in action" is the EU’s mobility and non-formal education programme targeting young people aged between 15 and 30 years. It includes the “European Voluntary Service”. Under this action, young people aged between 18 and 25 are able to spend up to 12 months abroad as European volunteers helping in local projects in a wide range of fields: social, ecological and environmental, arts and culture, new technologies, leisure and sports, etc.

The basis for European Voluntary Service is the existence of a number of places where volunteers can do their voluntary service. These are called “host organisations”, as Vienne City Council (France, Rhone-Alpes region) / Youth Information Centre of Vienne since August 2005 (see our application file : FR-102-BIJ Vienne. We are looking for our second volunteer to continue in improving the european dimension of our city. In May, we should welcome another young volunteer for 8 months (no less than 6 months).

Are you interested in sending a volunteer in Vienne ? You can also forward this information to your contacts in your country. Important : we have to ask a Community grant until the 1st of February 2007 and before, we have to choose the volunteer (until next month).

The volunteer will be accomodated in his own equiped flat in the centre of Vienne, will have a course of French. As for him or her, we would like to work with somebody who is interested in european questions, in work with young people. It also means that he/she should be open-minded and communicative. The basis of French are interesting for us. Moreover, with International Relations we expect an initiative from the volunteer to realize his/her own project during the EVS with our full support.

O Programa Juventude em Acção é um programa da Agência Nacional para o Programa Juventude que permite aos jovens desenvolver um projecto numa associação (de um país da Europa).

Há duas opções:
- o Serviço de Voluntariado Europeu (entre 6 meses a um ano)
- Intercâmbio de Jovens (que pode ser uma semana, duas semanas ou um mês)

COMO JOVEM VOLUNTÁRIO TENS DIREITO A:

Alimentação
Dinheiro de bolso (cerca de 150€/mês)
Formação linguística

As actividades do Voluntariado são imensas. Existe uma base de dados com inúmeros projectos que se estão a desenvolver em diversos países da Europa, e que podes consultar.

Podes procurar por país, cidade, área etc. Depois de submeteres a procura irá aparecer uma lista de projectos (no país/organização escolhid@)
para mais infomações acerca dos projectos, basta clicar na coluna do lado esquerdo (em cima dos numeros de referência dos projectos)
O Serviço de Voluntariado Europeu tem uma duração de 6 meses a 1 ano e os voluntários têm de ter entre 18 a 30 anos.
As candidaturas são entregues de dois em dois meses (1 de Fevereiro, 1 de Abril, 1 de Junho, 1 de Setembro e 1 de Novembro, ) e o SVE tem inicio, aproximadamente, 3/4 meses depois.

1º passo: consultar a base de dados e escolher um projecto (ou mais, no caso das vagas para voluntariado estarem preenchidas ou  de o projecto já não estar a decorrer)

2º passo: contactar a associação responsavel pelo projecto (saber se estão a aceitar voluntários e se o projecto ainda está a decorrer) e enviar CV e carta de motivação.

3º passo: dirigir-se ao GAIA ou entrar em contacto connosco, a fim de dar inicio aos contactos com os intervenientes no processo e elaboração das candidaturas

We're an hosting organisation (HEI n° 2003-FR-103).

We would like to host a volunteer from next  september 1st 2007 to september 1st 2008.

The main purpose of the project is to bring to the existing animations a new dimension thanks to the intervention of an European young person of a foreign country.

The volunteer will integrate the team of animation ( 3 presenters) of the Pole of Exchanges and Multimedia and scientific Animation ( PEAMS).



The project declines in several works:

1) Animations in Schools, Secondary schools, equipments of districts (From the presentation via an exposure of the Country of origin of the volunteer and definition of projects in association with the teaching teams)

2) Preparation of an exchange between young people from Sablé-sur-Sarthe and others countries  via an Internet site, a forum  and a video workshop(studio).

3) Participation in the various activities of the peams (followed by the projects of the junior City Council, Meet movies-young people, interventions environment and sciences in schools and leisure centers.)

It means that the volunteer has to have computers and internet interests

The volunteer should like to :

- new technologies

- work with young people

- be interested in other countries
